We posted the report from second-place Steffen De Schuyteneer's Team Lotto with the results.
Here's the report from third-place Axel Zingle's Team Visma | Lease a Bike:
Axel Zingle claimed third place in the second stage of the Tour of Denmark. The Frenchman from Team Visma | Lease a Bike had to concede in the bunch sprint to stage winner Søren Wærenskjold and runner-up Steffen de Schuyteneer.
The second road stage of the Danish race covered just 110 kilometres, partly due to the long transfer the riders had to make after the opening stage. A few riders tried their luck in the early breakaway, but in the end the race inevitably came down to a bunch sprint.

Zingle was well positioned at the front thanks to his teammates, but lost a few places in the final kilometre. He managed to fight his way back to the front of the peloton and crossed the line in third after a strong sprint.
“It was a good day for us today”, said sports director Maarten Wynants afterwards. “We wanted to go for the sprint. It’s a strong field here, so we had to be realistic. Beforehand we told ourselves that a podium finish would be a good result. We wanted to put Axel in the right position, which we managed partly. He still made his own move to get onto the wheels of the competition. We’re satisfied with today’s result. Tomorrow we’ll aim for a strong time trial with Axel. Hopefully that will lead to a good position in the general classification.”
Here's the Tour of Denmark stage two report from Team Picnic-PostNL:
After the more selective and punchy opening stage, the second day of racing at the Tour of Denmark looked to be one for the fast finishers of the peloton, with a short 105 kilometre stage on the menu. Team Picnic PostNL helped to control the day, especially after a strong six rider break went up the road. Due to the strength of those ahead it meant the peloton had to do a lot of work to bring them back, and the catch was ultimately made on the last lap.
A crash split things a bit in the bunch, but Nils Eekhoff was well positioned by the squad. Going around the final corner and onto the last straight, the rider in front of Eekhoff launched down one side of the peloton and Eekhoff followed, but the rider ran out of steam at around 300 metres to go. Knowing he had to launch early to make sure he didn’t get boxed, Eekhoff delivered a long sprint but was overtaken by a few riders in sight of the line, finishing the day in a good fifth place.

Eekhoff expressed: “Today was a really short stage so we expected to be on the gas all day. We decided to take control from the beginning, with the plan to go for a sprint with Fabio in the end. The break was strong though which meant that the pressure was on for the whole stage. In the final we changed the plan to sprint with me as Fabio said the hard pace had taken a lot from his legs, which is understandable on only his second race day back. Enzo and Mees worked hard on the front to make it a sprint, and Christiaan and Alex positioned me well in the final. I found a wheel that launched early but they dropped the speed so I had to launch and just came up a bit too short for the victory. We keep fighting for a top result in the next days.”
The team sent me this news:
Team Jayco AlUla is pleased to welcome newly crowned Italian Road Race champion Filippo Conca to the team roster with immediate effect having signed a new contract through 2027.

Having spent the majority of the 2025 season racing gravel events, the talented climber claimed a surprise win at the national championships. The victory further confirmed his pedigree as a rider, having already been on the squad’s radar for some time.
Ready to take another step forward on the road, Conca will have the opportunity to settle into GreenEDGE Cycling this season, giving the 26-year-old a head start ahead of an important full 2026 season on the road.
Filippo Conca:
“I’m really happy to join Team Jayco AlUla, I chose this team because I’m confident that I’ll find the ideal environment to work hard. Before making my decision, I consulted my colleagues and the staff, and they all told me that at Jayco AlUla, I would find a family that can support me personally and on a sporting level.
"Another thing that is important to me is that I’ll continue to use the same equipment as I have been using this year – Giant and Cadex. I’ve had a great experience with both and so I’m happy to be able to continue with the same bike and wheels.
"My dream is to race in the Giro d’Italia, and to do so wearing the Italian national jersey. I think it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I want to thank Team Jayco AlUla for the trust they’ve placed in me; I’m sure it will be repaid.”
Brent Copeland – General Manager:
“Filippo clearly has a lot of talent and that was highlighted not only by his win at the Italian championships but also if you look back at his past results. He was unfortunately plagued by a number of challenges as a professional cyclist which caused several setbacks and inhibited him from showing his true potential. Now we are pleased to give him the full support he deserves in order to reach his ultimate goals.
"I would personally like to thank Carlo Beretta and his team at Swatt Club for making this transfer for Filippo an easy one and giving him and ourselves the full support. It has been a pleasure dealing with Filippo and his team and we very much look forward to working him.”

Here’s the team’s news:
Lidl-Trek is pleased to announce that Jacopo Mosca has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping the Italian stalwart with the team until the end of 2027.
Mosca’s first connection with Lidl-Trek came in 2016, when he joined as a stagiaire, before returning to the squad full-time in late 2019. The Italian immediately went to work at the Vuelta a España, beginning a run of consistent service in cycling’s biggest races.

In total Mosca has ridden five Giri d’Italia and two Vueltas a España, earning a reputation as one of the peloton’s most dependable domestiques. Whether leading a GC leader into a decisive climb or driving the pace all day for a sprint, he is known for his selfless work ethic and ever-present smile.
“Personally, this year’s Giro was a big highlight for me,” said Jacopo Mosca. “It was something special not only for the Team but also for me. To be part of this group after two years of not doing the Giro, being back was really nice. To achieve what we did was impressive.
“In the Team I feel part of the family. I never considered anything else than continuing to race with the Team. It will be special to continue for another two years, and we never know what might come after.
“I really want to keep racing. In this Team I think everyone knows what I can do, what my role is, and how much I love to work for the others in the Team—for the big leaders, of course, but also to help some young guys to develop their personal ambitions. I want to keep working and always aim to be better. To stay in this sport you need to show each year that you are stronger and stronger.”
“Whatever the scenario, Jacopo is a reliable and loyal rider that we can trust to give his 100% to the Team,” said Luca Guercilena, Lidl-Trek General Manager. “Also, he’s a smart rider and uses his experience of reading races to contribute to the discussion in team meetings. For us to succeed, it’s essential to have riders like Jacopo who are willing to ride selflessly. He may not be the one crossing the line first, but his work is instrumental to our success, and he celebrates our victories with as much joy as if they were his own. Having him on board is an asset to the Team.”
Here’s the team’s news:
Alberto Dainese is the latest rider to have signed a contract with Soudal Quick-Step, whose colors he will sport until the end of 2027. Hailing from Abano Terme, a town in the beautiful Veneto region, Dainese has made a name for himself in the sprints, racking up some impressive victories in his career so far.
Three of these have come in Grand Tours: in 2022 and 2023, he took a stage win at the Giro d’Italia, a performance which he then followed with a victory at the Vuelta a España, which to this day remains Italy’s most recent win at the Spanish Grand Tour. From next season, as a member of Soudal Quick-Step, he hopes to add more victories to his palmares, and at the same time, contribute to the team’s haul of victories.

“I have been dreaming about joining the Wolfpack since I was a kid. I remember watching the team on the TV and being impressed by their mentality and winning culture, and I’m really happy to finally get this opportunity and ride for Soudal Quick-Step from next year. I noticed in the peloton the way this squad races and their approach to the sport, and this is something that impressed me. I look forward to next season and to giving my best every single time. I would like to bring my contribution to as many victories as possible for the team and live some great moments together with the squad”, an elated Alberto said after signing the contract.
“Alberto is a fast guy and we are convinced he has plenty to show in the coming years. He has racked up some impressive results in bunch sprints not just in stage races or Grand Tours, but he can also show how strong he is in some demanding one-day races, including the Belgian semi-classics. Together, we can aim for some beautiful things in the next two years”, explained Soudal Quick-Step CEO Jurgen Foré.
