Denis Menchov is a formidable time trialist, but those skills weren't enough to get on the podium. He did move up from 5th to 4th.
Again Cadel Evans has to settle for second in the Tour de France.
Bernhard Kohl turned in a good ride and kept his 3rd place.
Carlos Sastre rode a flawless Tour de France. They should study his ride at West Point as a masterful display of tactics, strategy and the perfect application of force at the optimum time.
