Marco Marzano took second today.
Alejandro Valverde is quick, and today he put that speed to good use by sprinting for third and getting the bonus seconds that made him the GC leader.
Gustavo Veloso's escape just barely survived. The GC contenders were coming at him fast, but they ran out of road before they caught the Xacobeo rider.
I just came across this one. Sorry it's out of order. Here Joaquin Rodriguez leads Alejandro Valverde with Cadel Evans in the Golden Jersey behind him. Looks like everyone is suffering.
