Alberto Contador shows the effort of the uphill finish.
Menchov crashed on the slippery run in to the finish. At 4min 54sec down his chances for winning the Tour have to be about nil.
The 2 riders on the left, Thor Hushovd and Oscar Freire start their duel for the stage win.
Hushovd, on the left, still looks about even with Freire (orange and blue Rabobank kit).
Hushovd gets it. His white jersey shows the effects of a day in the rain.
