Results

GP Costa degli Etruschi podium history

Saturday, February 9: 193 km. Donoratico, Italy.

Alessandro Petacchi was found positive for the use of Salbutimol in the 2007 Giro d'Italia. He was banned from racing between May 6, 2008 until the end of August of the same year. Furthermore all of his performances from October 31, 2007, while he was still racing, until his ban took effect in May, 2008 were erased. Therefore Gabriele Balducci, who orginally came in second to Petacchi, is the official winner of the 2008 GP Costa degli Etruschi.
