November 8: Bike Europe, an excellent website that that targets members of the cycle trade with lots of news about the bicycle business in Europe, tracks the stock price of several important bicycle companies.

For instance:

Accell Group (owner of Red Line, Tunturi, Lapierre) is currently trading at 16.02 Euros, but its 12-month high is 41.40

Derby Cycle (Raleigh, Univega, Focus) is trading near its 12-month high at 28 and is well off it low of 11.13. Accell is contemplating making an offer for Derby.

Merida (part owner of Specialized) and the fifteenth largest company in Taiwan is at 72.30, much better than its 12-month low of 49.95.

November 2: Podium Cafe.com is holding a contest for a free copy of Les Woodland's Cycling Heroes. Go to the site and tell them who your cycling heroes are.
