May 9 - May 31, 2009

May 20, Wednesday: Photos from Stage 11, Torino - Arenzano (Genova), 206 km.

Leipheimer crashed midway through the stage and needed a new bike. He was soon back in the pack and lost no time today.
For the most part, the peloton stayed together today.
Armstrong led most of the way down the Turchino with a scary-fast descent. Garzelli, Leipheimer (I think), Boasson Hagen, Basso and Di Luca are right there with him.
Columbia did a perfect lead-out for Cavendish.Tyler Farrar (Garmin) is just a little behind at this point.
A few meters down the road Farrar hasn't lost too much ground to Cavendish.
But you can't win a race losing only a little ground. Cavendish was the fastest man today.
