May 19, Tuesday: Photos from Stage 10, Cuneo - Pinerolo, 262 km

Stefano Garzelli rode a heroic race. He escaped on the Moncenisio and wasn't caught until the final kilometers. Even then he refused to quit, staying with the protagonists until the end. Bravo Stefano!
The high mountains make a beautiful setting for a bike race.
Armstrong helped bring back the break of Andriy Grivko, Giovanni Visconti and Stefano Garzelli. Di Luca in pink is on his wheel and Lovkvist in white is to his left.
Here's the winning move. Di Luca attacks on the final small climb and Sastre (in black) and the others can do nothing.
This is the second chase group with Basso, Leipheimer and Soler. They are behind Di Luca, Menchov, Pellizotti, Arroyo-Duran and Sastre.
Di Luca got a firmer grip on the lead when Lovkvist couldn't stay with the leaders.
