Story of the Tour de France

2008 Giro D'Italia
May 10 - June 1, 2008

Pictures by Fotoreporter Sirotti from: Sunday, May 11. Stage 2, Cefalu - Agrigento, 207 km.

Sicily and Southern Italy were called Magna Graecia (Greater Greece) in ancient times. You can see why.

A picture like this makes me want to call up Larry at CycleItalia and tell him to book me on a bike trip in Italy.

If you had asked me, I would have bet on Rebellin (right, in blue) to win an uphill sprint like this.

Franco Pellizotti is the new Maglia Rosa. He's a capable stage racer with a powerful team. It will be interesting to see how long he can hold on to the lead.
